Pals On Parade
The concept for “Pals On Parade” came during discussions between Leyland Band and historian Stuart Clewlow. Stuart, acting on behalf of the Chorley Pals Memorial Trust, commissioned Leyland to headline a poignant tribute concert as part of the centenary commemorations of the Battle of the Somme.
The Pals On Parade concert was held in the Lancastrian Suite, Chorley Town Hall on 2nd July 2016. The Chorley Pals Memorial Trust were supported jointly by Chorley Council and South Ribble Borough Council in presenting this unique tribute to not only the Chorley Pals, but all those who took part in what became the bloodiest of battles.
The concert was recorded live by kind permission of www.chorleypalsmemorial.org.uk and the highlights of a truly memorable evening of music are presented here on this special recording.
