The multi-award-winning group will perform a joyful selection of music on the theme of The Roaring ‘20s, from Irving Berlin to Cole Porter and George Gershwin. Well-known favourites such as Anything Goes and Singin’ in the Rain, plus a performance of Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue performed by pianist David Daniels, are certain to give the 2022/23 season the rousing start it deserves. Coronation Big Lunch, Avenham Park, May 7 Grab your picnic hamper and Union Jack flags and head down to the centre Preston park and raise a toast to His Majesty The King. From 10:00am to 4:00pm visitors are invited to tuck into butter pies, quiche and a glass of fizz while taking in live music and performances from Leyland Band 10 piece ensemble, One Voice Community Choir, Preston City Mela, Caribbean Carnival, and singer Hattie Bee. There will also be fairground rides and stalls from Preston Market. Just don’t forget your picnic blanket.
