Richard Evans was undoubtedly the most charismatic brass band conductor of his, and many other generations. He captured the hearts of audiences and players across the United Kingdom and the world.

Richard was the driving force creating and bringing the modern day Leyland Band to national and international prominence. Bringing his wealth of experiences throughout his colourful and successful career in music. 

His trademark warmth and humour flows throughout his autobiography. It’s full of anecdotes and incidents from his lifetime of music making.

It’s a fantastic tribute to the talented and multifaceted man and his musical life.

          

                  RIchard’s passing was a sad loss to his family and the brass band world.
