Anne Challinor

Anne has been heralded as one of the leading brass band percussionists of her generation, having played at the highest level of banding for many years.

Her musical development began with the Reg Vardy band, where she spent 5 year working under conductors including Resident Conductor Stephen Malcolm, Stephen Roberts, Ray Farr and Professor Nicholas Childs.

Anne went on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music to complete BMus and MMus degrees. Whilst at the Northern , Anne spent 5 years at the Black Dyke Band. During this time she won every major honour in banding and also travelled extensively including tours to Bermuda, Holland, Switzerland and the USA.

After leaving music college , Anne joined the Grenadier Guards Band where she met her now husband Tom (Our Solo trombone player). They both live near Blackpool with their daughter , Eve and Freddie the German Shepherd.
