update 29th November 2023 – It is with heavy hearts and apologies that we report that the start of our annual Christmas performances, Festive Brass is cancelled at short notice. The Band received news yesterday 28th November 2023, that significant structural issues in the ceiling of the Lancastrian Suite at Chorley Town Hall have been identified and all forthcoming events there have been cancelled on safety grounds. An immediate search for an alternative venue in the area has been unsuccessful. The Band will of course offer full refunds to the many who have booked in advance. Fanfare & Flourishes – The Beautiful Galathea – As I Pray (cornet soloist Lewis Barton) – Sketches from the Galley – Capriccio Brillante (horn soloist Rebecca Doyle) – Guardian of My Soul – California Dreamin’ – Malaguena – Another Fine Mess (euphonium soloists James McLeod & Dan Moore) – Groovy Kind of Love – I’d Do Anything for Love – Everytime We Say Goodbye (trombone soloist Don Logie) – Somewhere Out There – Sosban Fach Leyland Band are proud to support Pancreatic Cancer UK for Research into Early Diagnosis A very special and personal concert featuring uplifting music for everyone from Leyland Band joined for the first time by Skylarks Community Choir. Leyland Band return to compete in the world famous Whit Friday March Contests, and for the first time under the baton of MD Danny Brooks
