A concert dedicated to our fantastic Patrons who support the band in so many ways. Interested in joining the Patrons? Coronation Big Lunch, Avenham Park, May 7 Grab your picnic hamper and Union Jack flags and head down to the centre Preston park and raise a toast to His Majesty The King. From 10:00am to 4:00pm visitors are invited to tuck into butter pies, quiche and a glass of fizz while taking in live music and performances from Leyland Band 10 piece ensemble, One Voice Community Choir, Preston City Mela, Caribbean Carnival, and singer Hattie Bee. There will also be fairground rides and stalls from Preston Market. Just don’t forget your picnic blanket. The Band received news yesterday 28th November 2023, that significant structural issues in the ceiling of the Lancastrian Suite at Chorley Town Hall have been identified and all forthcoming events there have been cancelled on safety grounds. An immediate search for an alternative venue in the area has been unsuccessful. The Band will of course offer full refunds to the many who have booked in advance. Leyland Band are proud to support Pancreatic Cancer UK for Research into Early Diagnosis A very special and personal concert featuring uplifting music for everyone from Leyland Band joined for the first time by Skylarks Community Choir.
