Principal Euphonium James McLeod has been voted “Player of the Year” by the many Patron’s of Leyland Band. The award was presented to James by band chairman Chris Doran at the Patron’s annual concert, Sunday 13th March.

The concert was attended by nearly 200 of the band’s valued patrons, whose support throughout the year is most appreciated by all the players and personnel at Leyland, and the annual patrons exclusive concert is the perfect chance for the band to demonstrate that appreciation.

 

James has been fantastic on and off the stage in the last twelve months, with many highlights including his ground breaking solo performance of “Humming Byrd” at the 2015 Brass In Concert Championships which is now featured on the official DVD release.
