With a fanfare from the Leyland quintet and a slice of the ribbon from top comedian Jon Culshaw, a new era of the Ormskirk Civic Hall is underway.
The full Leyland Band will perform the first concert in the hall since the opening, on Sunday 17th April with a special program to celebrate the upcoming St George’s day.
TV celebrity Jon, hails from Ormskirk and he was delighted to be reopen the Civic Hall, as he explained, a hall that played a huge role in learning his craft in his teenage years. He broke into a hilarious Boris Johnson impersonation, before introducing Prince Charles to proceedings to complete the ribbon cut and invite the large crowd to join him inside the new look venue. The quintet then took to the stage and performed a set as the assembled crowd got their first look at the future of the historic hall.
