Concert 2 in the band’s 2016 Matinee Concert Series brings a new collaboration as Leyland are joined by members of the Red Admiral Music Academy.

Following the tremendous success of the first of the 2016 series, when Leyland were delighted to be joined by the Lancashire Youth Brass Band (they’ll be back as part of the 2017 Matinee Concert Series!), this is another great event giving an opportunity to young and developing players to perform alongside Lancashire’s finest and world renowned Leyland Band.

The Red Admiral Music Academy boasts around 80 members, and their director of music, Danny Brooks – himself a former Leyland Band principal trombone player – is bringing around 30 of them to perform a solo set in the concert before both bands joining forces for a rousing massed finale featuring a James Bond classic – “Skyfall”.

Leyland will be featuring music from the band’s fantastic brand new CD recording – Leyland in Concert Vol.2 “Blue”.
