Leyland Band made a big impression performing at the 2024 British Open Brass Band Championships held at the Symphony Hall Birmingham.
Fielding eight Open debutants, we gave a great performance of the set piece “The Lost Circle” by Jan Van der Roost. We finished 9th out of 18 bands in a field that contained many of the world’s best bands. That is a huge step for the band following the changes we began at the start of the year and underlines the fantastic progress we are making under the musical direction of Danny Brooks.
Many congratulations to the winners from all at Leyland. We are looking forward to competing again in the 2025 British Open, stronger and better!
