Leyland Band successfully complete a veritable musical marathon in recording highlights of over 60 new brass compositions and arrangements.

 

Under the baton of resident conductor Huw Thomas, Leyland have completed a recording of samples of new music on offer from Swiss publisher’s, mf-musikverlag-frank.

A large variety of music encompassing a wide range of styles, from marches, polka’s, gospel, new christmas repertoire to new compositions and solo features were on the stand.

This recording was the second sample offering Leyland have completed for mf-musikverlag-frank and the band were also represented by cornet player Gary Westwood with a selection of his new arrangements being included in the publishers new catalogue.

The repertoire included music for all grades of band and Leyland will be featuring some of the items in future concert programmes.
