Leyland Band are delighted to be invited to perform at one of Lancashire’s most illustrious schools, Stonyhurst College. This magnificent building in the heart of the county is a beacon of educational excellence world wide, and the band are looking forward to performing there for the first time.
Conductor Thomas Wyss has picked a wonderful program of music for this special concert which will follow an afternoon of workshops with some of the pupils led by Leyland Band tutors. Beginning and ending with music by Rossini, the concert will also feature pairs of contributions from Bach, Wilfred Heaton and John Williams.
Iain Culross, James McLeod and Joe Martin are the featured soloists.
