Leyland Band take 2nd place at the North West Regional Qualifying Championships, earning an October date at the Royal Albert Hall to compete in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain Final.

Drawn to perform 10th of 12 bands, the band under the accomplished baton of Thomas Wyss produced a strong, exciting and musical performance of Wilfred Heaton’s classic competition piece, simply titled “Contest Music”, earning a well deserved runners up position.
