Leyland Band chairman Chris Doran presented a cheque to St Rocco’s (www.stroccos.org.uk) following the band’s second benefit concert in support of hospice. The matinee concert held in the Parr Hall, Warrington built on the success of the inaugural event in 2016.

Chris said – “the work of St Rocco’s hospice is so important and valuable to the community in Warrington, and we’re delighted that the band is able to offer some support in its fundraising efforts by providing the first class musical entertainment we are renowned for. Our connections with various charities continue to grow, for example performing in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association for the first time this year. We are always willing to offer support where possible, and we are already in discussions with other organisations for future benefit events”.

Plans are well underway for the 2018 concert for St Rocco’s. Chris said – “building on the fantastic support in the last two years, Leyland are aiming to exceed again the help we can give to the hospice”.
