Leyland Band help RNLI celebrate 200th Anniversary

Leyland Band are excited to celebrate the RNLI 200th Anniversary in 2024. Help the fantastic RNLI enjoy its 200th anniversary. Enjoy a wonderful evening of music performed by Leyland Band, 6th July 2024.

Proceeds will be donated to RNLI.

Leyland Band will support the RNLI as it celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2024.

The band has long supported the work of the RNLI through fundraising events. A specially composed piece of music, ‘Penlee‘, commemorated the 1981 disaster. Leyland Band recorded this incredibly descriptive work on the CD of the same name. The recording received critical acclaim. It became the first brass band recoding to be included in Classic FMs top 300 recordings.

200 years is an amazing milestone for the RNLI. Since its formation in 1824, volunteers have formed crews and funded the kit and lifeboats to save lives at sea.
