The 2024 Armed Force Day Concert has unfortunately been cancelled.

At short notice Chorley Town Hall has been requisitioned to prepare for the General Election on 4th July 2024. Alternative venues and arrangements cannot be put in place in time for the 29th June 2024.

This years concert was due to build on the annual event growing patronage reflecting the tireless work of organiser, Stuart Clewlow.

However it will return again in 2025 featuring Leyland Band.

Armed Forces Day 2024

Armed Forces Day isn’t necessarily a day for our Armed Forces to present themselves for our benefit. It is in fact a day for us to stand up and show our thanks and appreciation.

The occasion also gives us an opportunity to remember those who have served in our Armed Forces in days gone by. We also reflect upon those who have made the  ‘Ultimate Sacrifice’ in the ongoing pursuit of peace.

Considering what is going on in the world today, we should not take peace for granted. Thanks to the service personnel of our Armed Forces, we can all enjoy the safety, wellbeing and freedom afforded to us by their service.
