Tom hails from Mold, North Wales and began playing the Trombone at the age of 11 with the Northop Youth Band. Over the next 10 years, Tom moved up through the ranks at Northop under the baton of our current MD Thomas Wyss.

Tom is a full-time musician in the British Army and is now in his seventh year of service. He has travelled extensively in this period including tours to Japan, Australia, Switzerland and Italy and taken part in all the state ceremonial events in London.

In April 2014, he moved back up North to his brass band roots following the formation of the Army’s first full-time Brass Band, The Band of the Kings Division.

Outside music, Tom is a huge Evertonian and enjoys cycling (weather permitting of course!).

Tom lives near Blackpool with his wife Anne and their daughter , Eve.
